Happy Fourth of July everyone!

Being away for a while, I forget how much I love it here...

Mesquite-grilled salt-crusted fresh yellow tail cheek, a grated fresh-daikon plus soy sauce topping, blanched French green beens and a dry sake accompaniment.  Yum.

I came home to find her giggling and spreading color around on new paper.  Perfect start to date night.

Our friend Cid marked a major life milestone in style, inviting dozens of friends and family to join her at Castello di Amorosa in Calistoga.  Smashing event.
