Chez 55 Thanksgiving Menu

Missing in the pictures are the macha-salt dusted, mesquite-grilled Shitake, Chanterelle and Hon Shimeiji mushrooms, which were to die for.  We conventional-broiled the misoyaki butterfish (it rocked).  The Goma Ae (spinach with miso sauce) was exquisite.  The middle picture shows the characteristic amber color of the traditionally brewed Kikuhime Yamahai sake which we paired with desert.  Last but not least, the Kobacha Chess Tart with Ruby Port cherry sauce knocked our socks off.  Everyone had seconds.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Crab Benedict at Skool (SF)

Sunday Brunch.  Looked and tasted phenomenal.  The restaurant is impeccably appointed, and draws from the same industrial / minimal well that drove our home project, so no surprise we loved it.  The lounge music--hand-picked by the owner--caps off a perfect experience.

House Without a Key

Anniversary brunch courtesy of my sainted inlaws. Aloha abounds.

Breakfast salad arranged by Dana.  Yum!  Mimosa with Jimbo in background.  Stitched iphone panorama.
